Thomas R. Evans, known as Tom, is the distinguished Founder and Executive Chairman of Torticity. With a rich background in leading internet and media companies, Tom's strategic insights and operational expertise have significantly contributed to Torticity's success. His tenure on various public company boards further exemplifies his breadth of experience and leadership.

At Bankrate, Inc., where Tom served as President and CEO from 2004 to 2013, he masterminded a monumental $580 million take-private deal with Apax Partners, followed by a triumphant $1.5 billion IPO. His leadership was pivotal in catapulting the company's revenue and pre-tax profit by over 14X and 20X, respectively.

Before Bankrate, Tom led Official Payments Corp. through its IPO and subsequent sale to Tier Technologies in 2003. His tenure as President and CEO of GeoCities, culminating in a $4.6 billion sale to Yahoo! Inc. after its IPO, remains a highlight of his career.

In his current chapter, Tom lends his expertise to notable companies, serving as a Board Member for The Knot Worldwide since 2018, SmartAsset since 2015, and Shutterstock since 2012. He also plays a key role at ANGI Homeservices Inc., contributing to its Audit and Compensation Committees.

An alumnus of Arizona State University with a B.S. in Business Administration, Tom now resides in Bronxville, New York. His ongoing contributions to corporate governance and strategic direction continue to leave an indelible mark on the business world.
